Summer project:  Weather Station Programmers
(Tom Baraniak, Physics, Doug Foxgrover, ITS)

We are looking for 2 students this summer to do programming for the Carleton Weather Tower project.  Part of it involves completing the data acquisition section using Python and Linux, but the majority will involve developing a database to store the data and a website to display the data.  This will involve using PHP, Apache, Javascript, Mac OS and maybe others.  There may be additional work to help facilitate the move of the Astronomy Radio Telescope from Olin's roof to Watson's roof.  Could also involve some outdoor work at the tower in the Arb.  For more information please see Tom Baraniak in Olin 208 or Doug Foxgrover in Weitz 030A.
