State-level Carbon Taxes in Theory and in Practice

Mon, February 12, 2018 • 3:30pm - 4:45pm (1h 15m) • Library Athenaeum

'State-level Carbon Taxes in Theory and in Practice' talk by Yoram Bauman, PhD

Come hear about how the Sierra Club opposed the first-ever carbon tax ballot measure in the United States, the I-732 campaign that (sadly) fell short in November 2016 in Washington State. Yoram Bauman is a PhD economist who was the founder and co-chair of the campaign; he has since moved to Utah and is working on carbon taxes there and across the country… hope springs eternal!

Refreshments served.
