Faculty Recital: French Organ Music from Romanticism to Modernism: Program I, Lawrence Archbold, Organ

This concert is the eighteenth in the continuing series, “Exploring Organ Music,” presented by Lawrence Archbold, the Enid and Henry Woodward College Organist. The program celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Olivier Messiaen with a selection of French organ music from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by Franck (Chorale in A Minor), Alkan, de Bréville, Chausson, Messiaen (Apparition de l’Église éternelle and Le Banquet céleste), Langlais, Migot, and Tournemire.
