Music Department Events

To reserve a space for a Music Department performance such as a concert, recital, or master class, please contact Alexi Carlson.

To reserve Shackel Hall for a Music Department activity please contact Alexi Carlson.

If you need a classroom or rehearsal space that is not Kracum Hall or Shackel Hall, please contact Kris Parker.

Students who would like to perform a department supported recital must be approved by a Music Department instructor or faculty member. Student recitals are generally on Saturdays and Sundays in May from 1pm-6pm, with more than one recital per day or booked as a shared recital.

If you are interested in performing a recital, talk with your instructor about MUSC 299 and contact Alexi Carlson at least one term prior to the recital to book a time.

Music Events by CSA Student Organization

If you are a CSA-registered Student Organization musical group who wants to give a concert in one of the Music Department’s performance spaces, please reach out to the venue manager, Alexi Carlson to inquire about space availability. Once a space is tentatively reserved for your event, please submit an Event Registration Form with SAO to have your event approved. You can view the general availability of Music Department spaces here: Music Venue Availability.

**Please note that venue availability is subject to change without notice and there are multiple factors that contribute to the decision to schedule an event in a Music Department Venue.

If your event is approved by SAO, the venue manager will reach out to you to discuss your event in further detail.
