Empire of Borders: The Expansion of the US Border around the World
The twenty-first century has witnessed the rapid hardening of international borders. Join us on Tuesday, October 29th from 5-6:30pm in Leighton 305 for a talk by the author, Todd Miller, as he discusses “extreme vetting,” which raises the possibility of “ideological” tests and cyber-policing for migrants and visitors.

NEW GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM! Ecology and Anthropology in Tanzania
A unique experience in northern Tanzania’s most recognized ecological and paleoanthropological sites. Participants will study introductory Swahili, live with a host family, explore the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Parks, and conduct research under the guidance of regional experts.
