OCS Photo Contest

The Off-Campus Studies Photo Contest is an annual event celebrating student experiences on off-campus study programs. It is open to all current students who have participated in off-campus study programs, fellowships, the Initiative for Service Internships in International Development, and the Richard T. Newman Family Fund for Language Study Internships during their four years at Carleton.

Carleton students experience other cultures in many different ways. They make life-long friends with homestay families and other participants on off-campus programs. Many expand their off-campus studies field research into senior comps projects when they return to campus. Others reframe their experiences as fellowship or summer grant proposals and extend their intercultural learning with follow-on research projects and internships.

Note: you may submit up to two entries to the OCS photo contest. Entries may come from any OCS programs, fellowships, or service learning internships during the photographer's time at Carleton. The last day of submission is Sunday, April 5, 2015.

Photos must have an "area" of at least 4,500,000 pixels (i.e. 4.5 megapixels) in order to produce a high-quality 8x10 print. (For a photo with standard proportions, this is about 2448 x 1840 pixels.)
