Fall and winter term courses plus December break:

· Fall term 2007, 6 credits, Prof. Rossi

Preparatory course: natural and cultural ecology of the Big Island; mechanics of shooting in different topographic and climatic conditions; color lab work including film and digital components; study of the photographic essay form; design of the visual travel guides.

· December 2007: Two week field study in Hawaii with Prof. Rossi

· Winter term 2008, 6 credits (including December study), Prof. Rossi

Wrap-up course: printing and assembling the Island portfolio; completing visual travel guide, compiling a digital version of the portfolio
