Global Experience Travel Writing Contest Winners Announced

Awards for the 2nd annual Global Experience Travel Writing Contest were presented at a joint reception with the OCS Photo Contest on May 17.

1st place
"The Mountain"

2nd place
"A Mouthful of Apricots"

by Pallav Kumar '18 (Spanish / Latin American Studies). BCA Quito, Ecuador.

3rd place
"My Budapest Mom"
by Veronica Child '18 (Computer Science). AIT-Budapest.

Honorable mentions

Twenty Carleton students - from first-year students to seniors - submitted entries to the contest, sharing glimpses of their experiences studying, interning, volunteering, growing up, gap year-ing, hiking, and road-tripping across all corners of the globe.
