PrEP Bootcamp: The Science of HIV Prevention with Derek Blechinger
An engaging, upbeat training that provides a review of the science behind our trusted HIV prevention strategies such as Treatment as Prevention (TasP), condoms, and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) followed by a review of the science behind the newcomer strategy called Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). This training allows an opportunity for both medically and non-medically trained individuals to consider the advantages and limitations of each, and their roles in ending the HIV epidemic. The second half of the training is the dynamic 'PrEP Bootcamp' portion which allows an opportunity to apply what you've learned about PrEP to answer questions, tackle multiple clinical scenarios, and better inform your own practice and comfort with recommending PrEP to prevent HIV.
