LTC Lunch

Tue, January 10, 2017 • 11:45am - 12:00pm (15m) • Larson Meeting Room, Weitz 236

This talk offers a definition of what the “new” Geo-Humanities is and gives examples of how it is practiced focusing on a particular sub-branch of Geo-Humanities called Digital Geo-Humanities.  Working in digital media does far more than produce catchy online communication outlets for existing research; it offers the opportunity to visualize theoretical concepts in ways hitherto confined to text, and therefore to advance those same theoretical concerns in ways previously unimaginable.

Nicholas Bauch, Assistant Professor of GeoHumanities, department of geography and environmental sustainability, University of Oklahoma

Students are welcome to attend.
