Title IX Student Visioning Team

Title IX Student Visioning Team Charge

Carleton College is committed to maintaining high standards of respect and civility, and strives to be a community free from all forms of sexual misconduct and gender inequity. The Title IX Student Visioning Team will meet regularly with the Title IX Coordinator. Composed of a variety of students on campus, the team will provide student feedback about the policy, the adjudication process, campus climate surveys, and support for students.

Overview

The Title IX Visioning Team started in Winter Term 2016 and chose the following priorities to address: campus climate survey; board sanctioning; attorney involvement; CBSM/SMS Adviser training; alcohol/drugs and sexual misconduct; understanding incapacitation versus intoxication; and benchmarking with peer schools.  The Team meets weekly and is also working in small groups to understand and address the above issues, among other things.
