Prerequisites

Students with sophomore, junior, or senior status who will have completed at least two semesters of Russian language study (or equivalent) by the program start date are encouraged to apply. Language placement will be ascertained in advance of registration, with level adjustments possible in the first week of classes.

Course of Study 

The Language and Culture in Global Russia curriculum consists of both cultural studies and language courses. The cultural studies courses are led by the program director, while the language courses are taught by Russian as a Foreign Language staff of the Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University entirely in Russian.

15-Week Spring Semester Courses

15-week spring semester students enroll in 3 cultural studies courses, along with a block of language courses at the appropriate level, for a total of 33 Carleton credits (equivalent to 16 semester credits). Find out more about the 15-week program courses.
