Research Fellowships

Faculty/Student Research: The Towsley Endowment provides financial support for Carleton students working with Carleton science and math faculty on campus (or in the field) during summer and over winter break. For more information, please see the application. Filled out by faculty.

Kolenkow-Reitz Fellowship: The Kolenkow-Reitz fellowship provides research support for Carleton students working with non-Carleton science and math faculty at another institution during the summer or over winter break. For more information, please see the application. Filled out by students.

Summer Science Fellowship: The goal of the Summer Science Fellowship is to broaden participation of historically underrepresented groups (including gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, or disability) in the sciences and math. Additional Student Research Support 

Housing ScholarshipStudents who receive need-based financial aid during the academic year are eligible to apply for scholarship funds to help defray the cost of housing during their summer research experience at Carleton.  The maximum award for ten weeks of housing will be $1000.  For more information, please see the application.  Filled out by student.

Conference Travel Support: Students whose research results will be presented at a conference are eligible to apply for funding from the Towsley Fund for travel to the conference. Typical awards will be $500. Students who receive need-based financial aid during the academic year are eligible to apply for additional scholarship funding for conference travel and attendance.
