The Carleton College dance department will present the Semaphore Spring Dance Concert on Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. in the Carleton College Arena Theater. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will include dances performed by Semaphore Repertory Dance Company, senior dance major Phil Chan (Berkeley, Calif.), and students from the Spring Dance Class, all of whom have had previous dance instruction at the College.

Semaphore is made up of a dozen of Carleton’s advanced dance students. They will present works by guest choreographers as well as by Semaphore members senior Laura Grant (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and junior Cayce Hill (Claremont, Calif.).

Last fall and winter, Carleton dance students worked with Twin Cities choreographers Vanessa Voskuil and Mathew Janczewski, whose original pieces will be performed at the concert. Janczewski also helped junior Avianne Boney (Trinidad and Tobago) choreograph a dance that Boney will perform at the concert.

The Carleton College Arena Theater has limited disability accessibility. For more information or disability accommodations, call the Arena Theater office at (507) 646-4531.
