On Saturday, May 14, from 6 to 9 a.m., the Carleton College Cowling Arboretum will hold its annual bird count. You don't need to be an expert to participate, just a willingness to look, listen and learn! Meet at the Arboretum Office for an introduction to the count procedures. You'll be part of a team to record all birds seen and heard at specific locations throughout the Lower Arboretum. Refreshments follow at the Arboretum Office as lists are compared and discussed. Some binoculars will be provided for those who need to borrow a pair. This event is free and open to the public.
