Professors Mary Savina and Victoria Morse launch the exhibition, Mediterranean Rivers, Chained and Unchained, with a dialogue on how each "reads" rivers in the Mediterranean region, and applies lessons learned to rivers closer at hand. The curators highlight examples from the rich store of beautiful illustrated books and maps from the 16th and 17th centuries, on loan from regional university libraries, on display in the Kaemmer Family Gallery of the Perlman Teaching Museum.

Following the lecture, all are invited to enjoy the exhibition in the Teaching Museum and refreshments in the Weitz Center Commons.
