In conjunction with the Perlman Teaching Museum's Falling Blossoms, Floating World exhibition, the International Film Forum will screen the classic Utamaro and His Five Women, a fictionalized account of the life of legendary 18th-century "floating world" artist Kitagawa Utamaro. The artist is caught between fierce dedication to his art and the model/muses who fuel his creative passion. The film will be introduced by Carol Donelan, director of Cinema and Media Studies.
