Frequently Asked Questions


Are there any hotels within walking distance of campus?

The Archer House—which is located downtown on Division Street, two blocks from Johnson House, the admissions building—is the closest hotel to Carleton’s campus. Another close hotel is the Country Inn, located on Highway 3, about 4 blocks from campus, or AmericInn, which is approximately a mile from campus. If family members plan to stay in either of these hotels, you will not need a car to get to campus.
