Steven Schier, the Dorothy H. and Edward C. Congdon Professor of Political Science, was quoted in a September 30 Star Tribune article about the recent and frequent visits to Minnesota by President Bush’s Cabinet, and the recent federal grants awarded the state. “It is not uncommon for an incumbent administration to spread the goodies around strategically in an election year,” Schier said of the Bush Administration’s choices.
