Justin London
Professor of Music, was involved with four paper presentations at the 15th Rhythm Perception and Production Workshop, July 1 through 4, in Amsterdam. These presentations included work with colleagues from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland (on the relationship between event density and rhythmic movement, and how observed movement affects our perception of musical tempo), the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, Cologne (on the perception of rhythmic nuance by Malian dancers and drummers), and MIT (on synchronization and leadership in Malian drum ensembles).
