Layla Oesper, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, received an NSF grant for her project “RUI: Computational Approaches for Inferring the Evolutionary Histories of Cancer Genomes,” that focuses on understanding the evolution of mutations in cancer genomes. The research will involve up to 10 undergraduates in computational biology research, and offer a workshop for both students and faculty at baccalaureate institutions to interact and collaborate.
