Silvia L. Lopez, associate professor of Spanish, presented two papers recently—one at the annual convention of the Modern Language Association in Washington, D.C., and the other at the XXVI International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In San Juan she also ran a workshop on “Innocent Voices,” which won this year’s LASA Merit Award in film.
