Annette Nierobisz Presents at Conferences

Associate professor of sociology Annette Nierobisz recently presented “Gaining Ground: The Role of the Canadian Human Rights Commission in Advancing Sexual Orientation Equality Rights in Canada” at the Joint Annual Meeting of the Law and Society Association and Research Committee on Sociology of Law (ISA) in Berlin, Germany. In August she presented “Out of the Closet and into the Public Eye: A Human Rights Perspective on the Development of Sexual Orientation Equality Rights in Canada” at the 2007 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association in New York, NY. While in New York, she also attended the “Human Rights and Sociology” conference at Columbia University.
