Please fill out the form below to receive Spring Break Trip funding.

  1. Budget Committee is disinclined to fund more than three quarters of the CSA Activity Fee ($310.5 per person for 2023-2024).
  2. Budget Committee is disinclined to fund more than 10 times the CSA Activity Fee for a Spring Break Trip ($4,140 for 2023-2024).
  3. No requirement of formal reflections or presentations after the trip.
  4. All requests will be due 5th Tuesday of Winter Term at 5:00 p.m.
  5. Each year Budget Committee will allocate a fixed amount of money during Spring Allocations for Spring Break Trips. For 2023-24 the amount is $10,000.

Budget Committee already follows three additional guidelines to the above (the above still subject to Senate approval):

  1. Groups are encouraged to send the smallest number of students possible to off-campus events. Preference will be given to groups that best reflect the Carleton community.
  2. Off-campus events funded by CSA must provide benefits to the campus community. This benefit must be demonstrated to the Budget Committee upon application for funding.
  3. For off-campus events, Budget Committee may consider experiential learning to be  a sufficient benefit to the Carleton community. The benefit to campus of this experiential learning must be demonstrated to the Budget Committee upon application for funding.
