Introduction

Welcome to my profile page. I don't have an "elevator speech" (maybe someday!), but in the meantime I'll simply note that what inspires me is teaching, thinking, writing, reading, moving, and engaging in social, cultural, and political issues in the world. And Hatch chiles. I teach diverse subjects from early modern literature and culture to postcolonial film, whereas I publish primarily on the French Renaissance, focusing on bodies and ways of knowing, dialogue, poetry, peacemaking, and the French Wars of Religion. Please feel free to contact me about overlapping interests and projects!
