Introduction

My field of study, Dynamical Systems, has been called "The Mathematics of Time" because the objects of study are systems that evolve with time.  Differential Equations is a classical tool in this subject.  My interests are with more modern methods developed in the past fifty years and, in particular, the dynamical consequences of homoclinic tangencies.  In recent years I have been interested in the applications of Dynamical Systems to the behavior of networks of neurons.
