Introduction

My field of study, Dynamical Systems, has been called "The Mathematics of Time" because the objects of study are systems that evolve with time.  Differential Equations is a classical tool in this subject.  My interests are with more modern methods developed in the past fifty years and, in particular, the dynamical consequences of homoclinic tangencies.  My current research concerns the applications of Dynamical Systems to the behavior of networks of neurons.
