Like it or not, we are connected to the rest of the world and today’s global issues affect all of us—whether it is economics, climate change or education. Most of us have a much greater sense of global interdependence than we did when our class started at Carleton in the fall of 1965. Lance Craighead '69, Takashi Kodera '69, and Brad Lewis '69 have particular interest and expertise in these subjects will share perspectives and insights. Lance will talk about global climate change and how it is affecting wildlife all over the world. Takashi will share his own experience as an international student and a mentor for other international students and how international students can help us better understand the rest of the world. Brad will talk about international trade as well as his own personal experience as an international student (senior year of high school) and two years of teaching in Japan. Moderated by John Linner '69.
