Amnesty International is an organization dedicated to ending human rights abuses across the world. Amnesty International has more than 3 million members globally.
Amnesty International at Carleton College focuses on Amnesty International's Urgent Action campaign. We meet on Mondays at 7:00pm in Sayles-Hill Lounge and write letters to government officials demanding fair treatment for citizens being persecuted for their political beliefs in their countries.
Additionally, Amnesty International at Carleton seeks to raise awareness about global human rights issues by sponsoring events, such as documentary screenings and speakers, on campus.
Feel free to stop by a meeting or contact Julia Greenwald (email@example.com) if you would like to get involved.
