Abortion Clinics in Minnesota:

Whole Woman's Health

Whole Woman's Health was founded in Austin, TX (2003) by Amy Hagstrom Miller. It is a privately-owned feminist organization, committed to providing holistic healthcare for women. They are a group of clinics around the nation that provide comprehensive gynecology services, including abortion care. The clinic in the Twin Cities provides both medical (up to 10 weeks) and aspiration abortions (up to 24 weeks).

Whole Woman’s Health offers care for women, by women. We provide an unparalleled patient-centered setting where the focus is on the whole woman—her body, heart, and mind...It is our philosophy that each woman must be at the center of her own healthcare decisions, and that treating each woman holistically— honoring her head and her heart as well as her body — will better serve women and improve women’s health and happiness in our communities. Warning: Crisis Pregnancy Centers

The abortion clinics listed above are the only certified abortion clinics in Minnesota. There are organizations that pose as fake clinics, which are run by people who are starkly anti-abortion. These are Crisis Pregnancy Centers, CPC. They give women incorrect, biased information that is formulated to scare women into not having an abortion. They often pretend to be real health care providers making women feel that they are being offered unbiased information and a full range of health services when they are not.

They also deceive women by using names that are similar to real reproductive health centers. The CPC in Northfield, MN, for example, is called the "Northfield Women's Center," which is very similar to the actual, real "Women's Health Center" at the Northfield Hospital. If you would like to learn more about the CPC in Northfield, MN and the petition against it, please visit the Carleton SARC (Student Advocates for Reproductive Choice) website.
