Carleton Association of Nature and Outdoor Enthusiasts (CANOE)

The Carleton Association of Nature and Outdoor Enthusiasts (CANOE) is a group of students who love the outdoors and want to share that experience with other students.  We are one of the largest student organizations on campus, with hundreds of students going on our trips ever year.

We offer student-led trips for hiking, camping, snow shoeing, skiing, dog sledding, canoeing, climbing, singing in the rain, star-gazing, and pretty much any other outdoor activity that you can think of. We try to have at least one trip every weekend, and anyone is welcome to lead a trip! We can help you with all of the details! Email our president if you're interested.

Want to borrow gear? Email our gear managers, Tim Mikulski or Anna Conley with questions. Reference the Gear Loan tab for more information.

Have any questions regarding CANOEs connection with SAO? Email our SAO liaison, with questions.

If you have any pictures from trips you've been on, or any CANOE events, feel free to email them to along with a caption for your picture and a brief description.

Or if you're feeling hip, check us out on Facebook.
