Projects

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.

The Vision of Our Projects

Engineers Without Borders – Carleton College focuses its efforts on projects that ensure safety, health, and enjoyable living. We do not limit our services to select ethnicities, religions, classes or age groups. Our projects are "borderless". They empower people by enabling them to access the knowledge and resources to improve the quality of life. Projects are selected for their efficiency, sustainability, and moral integrity.

As the world’s finite resources dwindle away and populations grow exponentially, there is an urgent need for environmentalism and humanitarianism. The engineering that seeks to address these issues is only successful when it is holistically integrated with other disciplines, such as economics, environmental science, medicine, and anthropology. There is an increased need for socially aware professionals. Our projects seek to promote engineering with a humanitarian focus. We do not limit our efforts to one issue or one cause. This is why our projects occur both locally and internationally. Please, spend your time reviewing our projects. We appreciate any comments or concerns. Additionally, if you would like to participate in one of our projects, please email us at ewb-cc@carleton.edu
