Did you know that Minnesota is one of the 13 most heavily sex and slavery trafficked states in the U.S.? More than 20,000 individuals are trafficked into the U.S. each year, and some of these victims find their way to Minnesota.
As students who care about human rights, we’d like promote awareness about human trafficking, particularly in this state. We will have two speakers coming from Civil Society, a non-profit organization that runs the Minnesota Human Trafficking Watch:

- Linda Miller, the executive director of Civil Society, will speak about her non-profit work dealing with international and national human trafficking.
- Bukola, a survivor who was trafficked from Nigeria to the United States.
