Registration Information

We will begin accepting registrations for the 2014 Summer Teaching Institute in December of 2013.  When your registration has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation with your enrollment summary.  We will begin to process registrations in late January.  Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received.  Unless otherwise stated in the course description, the minimum workshop enrollment is 6 and the maximum workshop enrollment is 30.  


June Workshop Registrations

The 2014 registration deadline for June Workshops is May 28, 2014.  Late registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis until June 16.  All registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received.  Registrations received after May 28, 2014 will assessed a $50 late fee; registrations received after June 5, 2014 will be assessed a $100 late fee.

Payment in full (all tuition and fees) for June Workshop Participants is due by June 6, 2014.

Any participant registering for June Workshops after May 21, 2014 is required to pay all tuition and fees in full at the time of registration.

July Workshop Registrations

The 2014 registration deadline for July Workshops is June 12, 2014.  Late registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis until July 1.  All registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received.  Registrations received after June 12, 2014 will be assessed a $50 late fee; registrations received after June 19, 2014 will be assessed a $100 late fee.

Payment in full (all tuition and fees) for July workshop participants is due by June 20, 2014.

Any participant registering for July Workshops after June 4, 2014 is required to pay all tuition and fees in full at the time of registration.

Minnesota Teacher Scholarships

Minnesota teachers who are teaching or plan to teach and AP* course are eligible for a scholarship from the state. This year, the Minnesota Department of Education expects to reimburse school districts at least $500 for tuition and $150 or more for room and board for each teacher attending an Advanced Placement* Summer Institute. Depending upon the total number of enrollments for this summer, MDE may be able to reimburse school districts up to the full cost of the Institute; unfortunately, that decision will not be made until after all summer institutes have closed.

Cancellations

All cancellations for the Summer Teaching Institute must be made in writing (submitted via email or US Mail). The $400 tuition deposit required for registration is non-refundable. Residential participants will be assessed half of room and board fees for cancellations received after May 28, 2014. Any cancellations received within fourteen days of the opening of the Summer Teaching Institute or while the Institute is in session will result in forfeiture of all tuition and fees paid.
