Carleton Fiscal Year 2012 GHG Inventory - Full Presentation

This graphic shows Carleton's greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from fiscal year 2008 through fiscal year 2014.  Scope 1 represents direct emissions from fuel burned on site in Carleton's boilers and campus vehicles.  Scope 2 represents indirect emissions from power plants providing Carleton's purchased electricity.  This category dropped notably in fiscal year 2012 which was the inaugural year for the Kracum Wind Turbine.  Scope 3 emissions include indirect emissions from activities associated with operation of the college such as landfill waste, commuting, off campus studies airline travel, staff/faculty airline travel and other miscellaneous sources.
