Eat the Lawn

Eat The Lawn, Carleton's first edible landscape, began in spring 2009 as a studio art independent study project by Katie Blanchard '10. It was inspired in part by a campus visit and lecture from Fritz Haeg, an artist who transforms American suburban lawns into “Edible Estates.”

In summer 2014, Eat the Lawn moved to its new (and permanent) home in front of Myers. Due to construction in Myers in summer 2017, the garden was not maintained through the 2017 growing season.
