We are thrilled to be hosting the Upper Midwest Association for Campus Sustainability, UMACS, Conference here at Carleton College, located just six miles off of I-35, a 45-minute drive south of the Twin Cities. The 2019 UMACS conference will be co-hosted by the Carleton Sustainability Office and Center for Community and Civic Engagement

This year's conference theme is Diversity, Community, & Creativity: Elements for Sustainable Transformation. At the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, AASHE, last fall, we learned about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This got us thinking- How can the work at our individual institutions link to the UN's SDGs (aka think global, act local)? We are choosing to weave this into as many aspects of the 2019 UMACS conference as possible.

This website will serve as the main landing page for all conference-related needs. Please email umacs.group@carleton.edu to contact the organizers. We can't wait to welcome you to campus!
