Medical (non-emergency)

    Carleton students are eligible for non-emergency transportation to a doctor, dentist or pharmacy within the city limits of Northfield and Dundas.  Pick up and drop off is at Davis Hall (west end of parking lot).

  • How to Use

    Bus Token (Hiawathaland Transit Bus)

    • Complete a Medical Voucher/Token Request form
    • Pick up your token at the Info Desk in Sayles-Hill
    • Present token to Hiawathaland Transit bus driver (bus routes and details here)
    • Dial-A-Ride appointment instructions here
    • 24 hour advanced notice is required for any ride needing the use if the lift (ex. wheelchair)
    • Assistants accompanying a person with disabilities ride free
    • Drivers do not assist individuals into or out of the vehicle, or into medical offices, hospitals or pharmacies


    Voucher for Medical Purpose (First Choice Shuttle)

    • Complete a Medical Voucher/Token Request form
    • All rides originate and end at Davis Hall (west end of parking lot)
    • Make an appointment with First Choice Shuttle 507-645-4447
    • Pick up your voucher(s) at the Info Desk in Sayles-Hill
    • Document travel details on back side of voucher
    • Present voucher to First Choice Shuttle driver
    • Drivers do not assist individuals into or out of the vehicle, or into medical offices, hospitals or pharmacies
