Class of 2016

This fall Carleton welcomes a new first-year class—whose members bring to campus a wide range of interests, talents, and achievements, including:

  • A two-time state champion in both indoor and outdoor archery
  • A student who conducts fieldwork for the U. S. Geological Survey
  • An airplane pilot
  • The founder of Pedal Past Parkinson’s, a charity bike race that raises money for Parkinson’s disease research
  • A two-time United States and four-time Canadian equestrian champion
  • Two students who train guide dogs for the blind
  • The cofounder of an independent Turkish magazine
  • A student who has designed and published two board games
  • A National Classical Etymology Exam gold medalist
  • A third-place finisher in the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics World Championship
