High Marks

Carleton welcomed 2,494 alumni, friends, and children to Reunion 2012, a celebratory weekend that filled guests with memories both old and new.

There was so much to do: reconnect with classmates and professors, attend parties (like the Class of 2007’s Superhero/Villain Party), learn something new (yoga, native prairie plants, investing), listen to music (including recitals and performances by the alumni choir and 1980s campus band Somewhat Fierce), eat and drink (featuring the Carltini, a tasty mix of lemonade and blue raspberry vodka served in a martini glass with a twist of lemon).

A special toast goes to members of the Class of 1962, who presented Carleton with a record-breaking $30 million gift in honor of their 50th reunion—and won the Loving Cup for the highest attendance percentage (44.8 percent) of any class at Reunion. Cheers!
