Fulbright Leader: Six Carleton students won Fulbright grants this academic year, landing Carleton on the program’s list of colleges and universities that produced the most Fulbright scholars for 2012–13.

New Scholarship: Herb Fritch ’73 and his wife, Barbara, have established the Fritch Endowed Scholars Program to help make Carleton affordable for middle-class students from towns with fewer than 200,000 people.

Searching and Sharing: The Carleton and St. Olaf libraries have introduced Bridge2, an online tool that allows users to search the entirety of both colleges’ collections in one place.

New Roles: Religion professor Louis Newman, currently director of the Perlman Center for Learning and Teaching (LTC), will become Carleton’s first director of advising this summer. He’s also been named associate dean of the college, as has English professor George Shuffelton. Art professor Fred Hagstrom will assume leadership of the LTC.
