Creativity finds a home at 320 Third Street.

Occupying the 300 block between College and Union Streets, the Weitz Center for Creativity is just a short walk from the heart of campus or downtown — conveniently positioned to welcome both the Carleton community and our Northfield neighbors.

The Weitz Center combines new construction with an innovative repurposing of the former Northfield Middle School. Inside, the finished structure encompasses 127,200 square feet of performance, rehearsal, exhibition, teaching and collaboration space. Outside, a public park, outdoor amphitheater, and landscaped inner courtyard offer inviting gathering places in pleasant weather.

The addition of 56,000 square feet opened in September 2017 as the college's new Music and Performance Commons. See the current floor plans and design renderings for the addition.
