Election Day at Carleton

Election Day is a major event on Carleton campus.  All day, Carleton students (and faculty and staff) proudly displayed their "I Voted" stickers while campus was crusted with chalkings and posters.  The Carl Dems manned tables in Sayles calling Northfield residents and helping people get to the polling places.  Then, once the polls closed at 8:00, people were glued to the many television screens around campus, including a giant one in Sayles.  Jubilation erupted when Barack Obama was announced the winner.
