IP Printing for Mac

  1. Go to the Print Center. You can get there by going to: Macintosh HD / Applications / Utilities / and double-click on Print Center.

In the print center you will see a list of printers that are already installed, including their IP or Printer Name and the Manufacturer / Model of the printer.

  1. To add a new printer to the list press Add.

You should now see a window drop down that displays install options.

  1. From the drop down menu at the top of the window make sure IP Printing is selected.
  1. Under Printer Type select LPR.
  1. For Printer Address enter the actual address of the printer you want to install (e.g. CMC109-clj4500….). You can get this information by printing a configuration sheet from the printer itself.
  1. Leave Queue blank.
  1. Under Printer Model select the specific printer brand.
  1. Click Add.
