Sport and Globalization in London & Seville

Keenan and Devin, as loyal Gunners (Arsenal) fans, were quite eager to see their favorite team play live for the first time. Hidden below the layers of jumpers (sweaters) and rain jackets they both sported the iconic red kits with white sleeves. For safety reasons, and because you are not supposed to cheer for the away team when seated in a Villa section, the two were forced to conceal their passion and anxiety as best as they could. Our seats were, in fact, adjacent to The Holte End, "home of the twelfth man," where the most spirited Villa fans are located. Kitty corner from our seats, in the corner of the North Stand, sat the away supporters for Arsenal. Even before the match songs and cheers could be heard with resounding force in the stadium.
