Carleton Orchestra Presents Winter Concert

The Carleton Orchestra, directed by professor of music Hector Valdivia, will perform their annual winter concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 4 in the Concert Hall on the Carleton College campus. The program includes Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major, BMV 1068 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Pathetique.  This event is free and open to the public. 

The Carleton Orchestra performs a varied repertoire ranging from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Recent performances have included Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, Lutoslawski's Concerto for Orchestra, and Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture.
