Panel Discussion on Education
From site: Dialogue on Education at Carleton
How should we lead our lives? What is to be human? Many of the texts we study in our humanities and social science course grapple with these enduring questions. This panel discussion will be about if and when it's appropriate to this address this meaning-laden dimension of the material we study in class, and will ultimately address the larger issue of "Where do we ask these questions at Carleton?". Sitting on the panel will be Louis Newman (Religion), Tim Raylor (English), and Larry Cooper (Political Philosophy). Plenty of time for Q&A provided. Note that the location has been changed from the Alumni Guest House meeting room.
