A "perfect storm" is hitting American policy: The Arab Awakening hitting the Middle East, China's growing financial and political clout, Africa's "first world war" devastating a good share of the subsaharan continent, and a strain in the European Union as one state after another succumbs to the debt crisis. Taken together, these events pose the most serious moment for American foreign policy since the end of WWII. Roy Grow, the Frank B. Kellogg Professor of International Relations, will address the crises and their long-term impact on American foreign policy in the 21st century.
