American Swedish Institute

Extend your holiday season by joining host Susan Gerstner '81, P'17, P'20 and other local Carls for "Time Tested. Tradition Approved." at the American Swedish Institute. Come find out why the holiday exhibit is the ASI’s most popular exhibit each year, and why it appeals to everyone, Swedes and non-Swedes alike.

Step back in time over 90 years and explore the stories and decorations of holiday traditions from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Celtic Junction community guests. With an ambiance drawing on holiday décor, music, sound and lighting as well as furniture, art, design, toys and food commonly associated with each era and country, each room offers informative and immersive experiences.

We will again offer two after-hours tours. The museum will be ours, and the parking will be plentiful! One option is the very popular tour followed by a traditional Swedish smorgasbord meal, including a glass of wine; the second option is a tour only. Both tours begin at 6:00 p.m. The tour and meal ends around 8:30 p.m., and the tour only ends at 7:00 p.m.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check your coat and meet our private tour guides in the ASI lobby. Tours will leave promptly.

Cost: There are two ticket options.
1. Tour and Traditional Swedish smorgasbord with wine: $52.00 per person includes taxes and tip.
2. Tour only: $15.00 per person.
Attendees will pick up tickets from Susan at the event.

Purchase tickets by Thursday, December 19 by clicking HERE and completing the subsequent form.

Directions: Directions and parking information can be found on the ASI website HERE.
