A Panel Discussion

You are invited to participate in a special event sponsored by the Carleton College Voice. Ten years after the 2008 financial crash, news stories about regulations and interest rates abound. But we might be left to wonder about the humanistic side of banking and finance. How do issues of ethics, diversity, and psychology affect the people who work in banking and finance and, thus, the industry itself? Five alumni insiders offer their insights in an engaging discussion that views a timely topic through a liberal arts lens. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. The Q&A will start at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
The panelists include:
- Paul Van Valkenburg ’82, principal, Mortgage Advisory Corporation
- Tina Hastings ’87, portfolio manager, Delphi Capital Management
- Arthur Kavalis ’04, cofounder, Three Court, LP
- Brandon Sun ’07, vice president, investment banking, Deutsche Bank North America
Cost: None
