New York Club Race for the Cure Event
Join the New York Carleton Club Team
for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Sunday, September 14, 2008, 9 a.m.
Every three minutes, somewhere in the United States, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Now you can help fight the disease by joining 20,000 fellow New Yorkers -- and a team of your fellow Carls -- in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a 5K run/walk through beautiful Central Park. The Komen Foundation awards more than $3 million annually in grants that fund education, screening, and treatment programs in New York City, as well as national research. This is the fourth year in a row that the New York Carleton Club will enter a team in the race.
To register with the New York Carleton Club team:
1. On the Web, go to www.komennyc.org/race/ 3. Search for “New York Carleton Club”
2. Click on “Join a Race Team” 4. Follow the registration instructions. There is a $25 registration fee.
Walkers, runners, friends, family, work colleagues, non-Carls are all welcome to participate! Please try to register by 9 a.m. on September 1 so your shirt and number can be included in the team kit; you can still register after that, but the materials will be harder to get. After you register, team leader (and New York Club Co-Chair) Cheryl Klein ’00 will be in touch via email regarding when and where to meet on Race Day. Hope to see you there!
